Wacky Packs

These were first brought out by Topps in the late 1960's to horrify parents and entertain kids with parodies of lots of products offered at the time such as Hostage Cupcakes (Hostess), Crust Toothpaste (Crest), Choke Wagon Dog Food (Chuck Wagon), Pupsi Cola (Pepsi), etc. These were funny, sometimes downright disgusting and very politically incorrect in some cases, and definitely did not win high marks from adults. That just made the things very cool to buy (even enough to bear down and chew the dry and hard as a rock bubble gum included in the package) and collect. These have been reissued and are still around, but a little tamer than the earlier versions. See ya, and check back for more Cool Old Junk...
