1965 Ford Shelby Cobra

In the 1960's Ford teamed up with Carroll Shelby and unleashed a car that would become an instant hit with motorheads the world over. These featured a 427 power plant with a 4 barrel or dual 4 barrel carbs, an aluminum body with a tube frame, a side oiler system to keep the top of the engine oiled under higher revs, all packed under the hood of a sleek and sporty body that would turn the heads of other drivers as it left them breathing the dust it generated as it took flight. These were never really given a horsepower rating, although it was definitely over 500 horsepower. These are very hard to find, but replicas are still out there if you look.
