1962 Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass Guitar


This is a vintage 1962 Hofner model number 500/1 electric bass guitar that was patterned after a violin's arch top hollow body style and was made popular when Paul McCartney bought and played one with the Beatles, eventually earning it the name "Beatle" bass. These had a different feel and tone than most bass guitars out at the same time, and stand out in a crowd. They were available with maple or spruce arch top construction depending on when they were made, and if you happen to find one, you might want to keep it.
