1955 Gibson Les Paul Jr


When these were originally brought out in 1955 by Gibson as a student guitar, nobody realized how much they would catch on as one of the best sounding guitars you could own. These were a lighter and simpler version of a Les Paul Standard, and they had a tone that was all their own. These featured a mahogany body, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and a dog ear single coil pickup that produced a tone that was different than a humbucker, but with a growl and a bite that was hard to resist.
