This is a very hard to find Herman Ohme chess set from 1960 with plastic pieces in a Danish modern minimalist style that not only is a nice set for the player, but a seriously cool conversation piece. This would actually qualify as art, with more emphasis on the design than the function of the actual chess pieces. They are weighted and designed for easy play, but serve more as a fashion statement from the late 1950 - early 1960 art work era. This is just the kind of thing you need to make a bold statement, and you won't see too many of these floating around. See ya back here to check out more cool old junk.
