Ohio Art Etch A Sketch


Take a plastic case with two knobs and a bunch of aluminum powder inside, add a stylus behind the screen that leaves lines you can use to create drawings, and you have an Etch A Sketch. Introduced in 1959 by Ohio Art, these can allow you to draw like a drunken monkey or like Rembrandt depending on your patience level and dexterity. These were a great time killer, and as long as somebody didn't shake it up or bump into it while you were creating, nobody got hurt. These are still available if you look for them, and you can even find some cool examples of the art created on these if you look around a bit.
