Back when you were a kid, if you couldn't get away with pounding the snot out of your brother or sister, what could you do for fun that kept your parents off your case? Play with "Rock Em Sock Em Robots" and beat them up without the bruises. These were first put out in a 1964 by Marx Toys (later bought by Mattel) and were a great way to get out your frustrations out without getting your parents upset. They were basically two plastic block-headed fighters in a ring you controlled with hand grips until the loser got his "block" knocked off.
