1969 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop

This classic guitar is a vintage 1969 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in a goldtop finish. These feature mini humbuckers that have a tone that is distinctive from the full size pickups in the Les Paul Standards and Les Paul Customs. These were constructed with a mahogany/maple body, a maple top, a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and were available in several finishes including ones with sparkles. These are less common among most guitar players for some reason, although some player's swear by them once they own one. If you want to hear one in action, check out some of the early work by Pete Townshend of The Who, and if you happen to find one you're not that fond of I'll be more than happy to give it a home. See ya, and check back to see more Cool Old Junk...
